David Steinberg

David Steinberg (b. 1990) is a photographer and artist based between New York and Minnesota. Utilizing photography, installations, and books, his practice engages with personal histories, scientific and ecological thought. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Syracuse University and the University of New Haven, teaching introductory and advanced courses on digital and analog photography, as well as lecturing on the history of photography. Aside from his fine-art practice, he produces commercial and editorial work for various outlets and mediums. Recently his work has been shown at the Houston Center for Photography, Perlman Teaching Museum at Carleton College, the Royal Photographic Society in the UK,  and Kunsthalle Turku in Finland, as well as in works published by Conveyer Studio. In 2022, he will present a solo show at the Reminders Photography Stronghold in Tokyo, and become the artist in residence at Laimun in Sardinia. He earned a BA in political science from the University of Minnesota in 2013, a certificate from the International Center of Photography in 2015, and an MFA from Syracuse University in 2020.
